Protecting Our Democracy Act (S 2838) - protects our democracy by preventing abuses of Presidential power, restoring checks and balances and accountability and transparency in government, and defending elections against foreign interference; Uncheck the Box Act (HR 4511) - prohibits a person from soliciting a recurring contribution to a political committee, independent expenditure, or any electioneering communications that does not require the contributor to provide affirmative consent; Resolution Reaffirming the principles of the US Constitution, including separation of powers and the rule of law, and condemning efforts to undermine the same (HRes 603); Honest Elections and Campaign, No Gain Act (HR 4786) - establishes certain requirements for disbursing unused funds after a federal election; SWIFT Vote Act (HR 4881) - speeds up the voting process by supporting the widespread use of e-poll books; Sustaining Our Democracy Act (HR 4910) - provides grant funding for states and local jurisdictions to improve and innovate their election administration procedures; Voter on the Move Registration Act (HR 4909) - provides voters with information on how to register to vote and their voting rights under law as they move residences; Unhoused Voter Opportunity Through Elections (VOTE) Act (HR 4914) -provides protections and minimum standards for accessibility to voting for unhoused people; Election Mail Act (HR 4915) - improves the delivery and processing of election mail by setting minimum standards and improving USPS processes; ); People Over Long Lines (POLL) Act (HR 4911) - sets minimum standards for how long people may wait in line to vote and provides resources to reduce voter wait times; Youth Voting Rights Act (HR 4916) - enforces the bipartisan-passed 26th Amendment and ensures eligible your voters can access the ballot box; Time off to Vote Act (HR 4908) - mandates that all workers receive protected time off in order to vote; Help America Run Act (HR 4912) - codifies FEC regulations that permit campaign funds to be used for child, elder, and dependent care, or health coverage; Expanding the VOTE Act (HR 4917) - gives jurisdictions the resources to provide more translations of election materials and ensures everyone, regardless of their level of English language proficiency, can equitably participate in our democracy; Washington, D.C. Admission Act (S. 51) - grants statehood to the District of Columbia; SGE Ethics Enforcement & Reform Act (S. 1491) - amends title 18, United States Code, to modify the definition of special Government employees; Zeroing Out Money for Buying Influence after Elections (ZOMBIE) Act (S. 1849) - amends the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require each authorized committee or leadership PAC of a former candidate for election for Federal office to disburse all the remaining funds of the committee or PAC after the election; Close the Revolving Door Act (S. 1850) - provides greater controls and restrictions on revolving door lobbying; Presidential Library Anti-Corruption Act (S 2300) - restricts contributions to presidential libraries, explicitly banning conversion of Presidential Library donations to ones personal ownership and establishing robust disclosure requirements; John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (HR 14/S 2523) - amends the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to revise the criteria for determining which States and political subdivisions are subject to section 4 of the Act; Voters on the Move Registration Act (HR 4909) - provides voters with information on how to register to vote and their voting rights under law as they move residences; National Voting Rights Month (HRes 756); Restore Trust in Congress Act (HR 5106) - prohibits Members of Congress and their spouses and dependents from owning or trading stocks; Ending Trading and Holdings in Congressional Stocks (ETHICS) Act (S 1498) - would ban Members of Congress, the president and vice president from buying and selling stocks, securities, commodities, or futures; Protect Elections from Deceptive AI Act (S 1213) -prohibits the distribution of materially deceptive audio or visual media that is generated by AI relating to federal candidates; Climate Resilient Elections Act (HR 5407) - requires states and localities to prepare and publish with the EAC natural disaster preparedness plans for election days; Transparent Representation Upholding Service and Trust in Congress (TRUST) Act (HR 396) - requires a Member of Congress, as well as any spouse or dependent child of a Member, to place specified investments into a qualified blind trust; SAVE Act (HR 22) - requires to provide proof of US citizenship in person when registering to vote in federal elections and states would have to remove noncitizens from their voter rolls; Bipartisan Restoring Faith in Government Act (HR 253) - prohibits Members of Congress (and their spouses and dependents) from purchasing or selling certain investments; Stop Illegal Campaign Coordination Act (HR 2476) - amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to treat certain expenditures as coordinated; No Censors On Our Shores Act (HR 1071) - certifies that non-U.S. nationals involved in conduct in violation in the U.S. of the 1st Amendment are inadmissible for entry into the U.S. and deportable.
Ranked Choice Voting Act (TBD) - requires ranked choice voting in all congressional primary and general elections starting in 2028; Restoring Trust In Public Servants (TBD) - prohibits public servants across all three branches of government from owning or trading "covered investments" and requires divestment of those assets within 90 days at the risk of paying a penalty of a month's salary for each month out of compliance; DISCLOSE Act (TBD) - addresses campaign finance, including by expanding the prohibition on campaign spending by foreign nationals, requiring additional disclosures of campaign expenditures, and requiring additional disclosures regarding certain political advertisements; Freedom to Vote (TBD) - bill addresses voter registration and voting access, election integrity and security, redistricting, and campaign finance. Presidential Conflicts of Interest Act (TBD); Clean Legislating and Ethical Accountability Now (CLEAN) Act (TBD); Anti-Corruption and Public Integrity Act (TBD) - address conflicts of interest and criminal anti-corruption laws, enact lobbying and regulatory reform, demands transparency in government records; Inclusive Democracy Act (TBD); Ending Trading and Holdings in Congressional Stocks (ETHICS) Act (TBD) - requires members to certify compliance with provisions of the bill; American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act (lobbied against) (TBD); Political Accountability and Transparency Act (TBD); Funding Research into Efficient and Effective (FREE) Elections Act (TBD) - creates a grant program to find research into election administration innovations; Registration Challenges Prevention Bill (TBD), Registration Challenges Prevention Act (TBD) - puts safeguards, guidelines, and standards around how challenges to voter registrations and registration challenge portals can be handled.
