H.R.6637- DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act: This bill addresses immigration-related issues, such as requiring the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to resume construction of barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border and providing removal deferral for eligible non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law).

H.R.2 - Secure the Border Act of 2023: This bill makes various changes to immigration law, including by imposing limits on asylum eligibility and requiring employers to use an electronic system to verify the employment eligibility of new employees.

H.R.2640 - Border Reinforcement Act of 2023: This extreme anti-immigrant bill would bar DHS funding for humanitarian organizations and faith-based NGOs that provide assistance to people seeking asylum, resume building the Trump border wall, double the number of Border Patrol agents, and strip funding for programs that support reception and alternatives to detention (SSP and CMPP funding).


Executive Branch

Asylum Ban (Circumvention of Lawful Pathways NPRM): Encouraged the administration to withdraw the rule, including by advocating major organizations, international bodies, and Members of Congress submit their own comments to the NPRM.

Humanitarian parole processing improvements and new humanitarian parole programs: Encouraged the State Department to improve humanitarian parole process, including adjudication, increased funding for legal services, and ensuring that USCIS adjudicators receive special training. Given the high rates of denial for humanitarian parole, the administration must do better to help those outside USRAP and other special immigrant processes.

Title 42: Encouraged the administration to commence rulemaking to terminate Title 42 and to release a plan for post-Title 42 operations.

H.R.2670 - National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024: This bill authorizes FY2024 appropriations and sets forth policies for Department of Defense (DOD) programs and activities, military construction, and the national security programs of the Department of Energy (DOE).
